Build Your Website
I nearly forgot this one. It is pretty inexpensive, and website builders like Weebly (where this site was made) or Squarespace offer free versions which have promo banners at the bottom (and as a conductor starting out, nobody will begrudge you having a free website).
As a natural technophobe, I used to be properly intimidated by this, and just assumed it was something I could never do on my own. But today, the website-creation technology is so intuitive, you really don't need to pay anyone to make you a basic website like this one.
One catch is that if you want to host video clips or sound clips on your website, I'm not aware of any providers that offer that for free. You can embed YouTube videos instead.
You'll need photos. If you can afford it, spend £200-£300 to get them done professionally, but if not, the cameras on phones are ridiculously good now. If you are cash-poor but time-rich, watch a bunch of YouTube tutorials and get really good at photo-editing so they look professional without having to pay someone to do it for you.
Have a snoop through other conductors' websites, and get a feel for what the content should be.
